Assad’s Overthrow Could Spark Bloodbath in Syria

According to Israeli Analysts, just like neighboring Iraq, diverse sects in Syria could turn against each other in case dictator Bashar Assad’s regime is toppled. Though Assad’s ouster isn’t yet imminent, in case it does happen, a bloody civil war between the country’s diverse population- consisting of Sunnis, Kurds, Druse and several other groups that are ruled by minority Alawites- is likely.
