Detained Indian anti-corruption campaigner Anna Hazare has accepted a police offer that will allow him to go ahead with hunger strike for 15 days in a park, his aide said. In a note posted on the social website Twitter, Kiran Bedi announced that Hazare would start his fast on Thursday. He had formerly pledged to remain in prison in Delhiā€™s Tihar jail unless he was allowed to recommence the protest, which led to his detention on Tuesday. His arrest sparked mass protests across India.
