Russia Supplies a New Batch of Naval Jets to India

Russian manufacturer of MiG aircrafts has delivered another batch of five carrier-based MiG-29K/KUB fighters to Indian navy this May, said a statement from the company on Monday. “A flight training simulator and other technical equipment has also been delivered,” it added. India and Russia had signed a $1.5bn contract in March 2010 for the supply of 29 MiG-29K Fulcrum-D carrier-based warplanes to New Delhi. The deal for the aircrafts also stipulates jet maintenance and pilot training.
