Context
Around 13 persons were killed and more than 23 wounded in a blast on Sunday at a hotel on the National Highway near Dera Allah Yar town in Balochistan, around 400 kilometers from Quetta. Another bomb planted near a natural gas pipeline few kilometers from the explosion site was defused by the security personnel and police. A new insurgent group, Baloch Liberation Tiger, claimed responsibility for the attack and its spokesperson said his organization would target those who take part in the Independence Day celebrations.
