Commander: Iran Begins Major Missile Maneuver

A commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps said Iran started a major missile maneuver on Monday called Piambar Azam-6 (Great Prophet-6), according to the semi-official Mehr news service. Col. Asghar Qlitchkhaani, the spokesperson for the war game, said the first phase of the missile maneuver began by unveiling missile launching silos. He said that the construction and technology of the solos were completely local and had been built and developed by Iranian experts. The Piambar Azam-6 would last for 10 days and is being carried out to enhance Iran’s defense readiness against possible threats from the US, said Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the head of the Revolutionary Guards’ aerospace division.
