Lal Masjid Deputy Prayer leader, Maulana Ami Siddiq said that some politicians exploited the Lal Masjid crisis to win votes and come to power. He was speaking at the conference organized by Jamiat Ullema Islam Fazl (JUI-F) in Karachi. He also hailed Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman’s efforts to resolve the issue during the crisis.

He said Pakistan is not in need of ‘tsunami’ as claimed by PTI; rather it needs people to come under the umbrella of Islam and the last prophet to establish an Islamic state. He also said that people with luxurious lifestyles cannot bring a revolution
